There are many costs associated with undertaking a midwifery education, in addition to tuition and fees, such as:
- $300-600 books
- $64/year pager or $360 cell phone
- $350 supplementary courses such as IV course, Neonatal Resuscitation, CPR, etc.
- $200-? cost of applying to become an apprentice in your state
- $1000-2500 state or certifying examinations
- $600-1500 midwifery equipment as you become more proficient
Other costs: Housing, food, transportation, baby-sitting, etc.
