Composition
The Faculty Advisory Board is composed of the faculty and of volunteer members, such as students, midwives and other advisors. Anyone interested in furthering the aims of the College is welcome. Service on the Faculty Advisory Board is voluntary.
The Faculty Advisory Board meets annually in New Mexico under for the following purposes:
- Reviewing the curriculum to include any necessary revisions and to approve the curriculum
- Making recommendations concerning evolving midwifery practices and educational needs
- Reviewing and making recommendations for the College budget and finances
- Reviewing and approving certification processes proposed by state midwifery organizations
- Directing and advising the President of the College in her/his administrative duties
